Stripling's Sweet Baby Corn has so many other uses than just a cocktail tray. In this recipe below, it's a neat ingredient for the bisque which blends well with the seafood taste.


Serving suggestion

Chunky Shrimp and Baby Corn Bisque
1 pound cooked shrimp
1 cup Stripling's Sweet Baby Corn, drained and chopped*
¼ cup chopped celery
½ cup chopped spring onions
½ stick (4 tablespoons) butter
2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
hearty sprinkling Old Bay Seasoning
2 cups whole milk
2 cups half-n-half

Either use whole shrimp pieces or cut into smaller wedges, according to preference (and size of shrimp). Saute shrimp, celery, and onions in butter. Add in flour and Old Bay Seasoning. Add milk and half-n-half to thicken bisque, stirring frequently to prevent scalding. Add shrimp and Stripling's Sweet Baby Corn. Simmer on low heat for at least 20 minutes. Garnish with herbs of choice and serve warm.

*1 (16 ounce) jar of Stripling's Sweet Baby Corn will meet the recipe requirement and leave a nice amount remaining for snacking or other uses!

Sweet Potato Butter

Stripling’s Sweet Potato Butter can certainly be used in our recipe for Sweet Potato Pie, or it can just be slathered on whatever objects you deem suitable such as breads, biscuits, or rolls.

But whatever your choice, keep in mind that The U.S. Sweet Potato Council refers to the sweet potato as “a powerhouse of nutrition.” Some of the more the notable health aspects of the sweet potato are as follows:
• Copious amounts of beta carotene (Vitamin A)
• High in Vitamin C
• Good source of fiber
• Fat free
• Cholesterol free

With all of this superb nourishment, it stands to reason that our Sweet Potato Peach Butter is also nutritious, and that you could certainly use that as rationale to indulge in it!

Sweet Potato Pie

Mix 1 jar of Stripling’s Sweet Potato Butter with 2 beaten eggs. Pour into unbaked pie shell and bake at 350 for approximately 45 minutes or until lightly brown. Add Marshmallow Cream to top and serve. (Marshmallow Cream optional)

Old fashioned whole pickled beets have the special touch of fresh onions and whole pickling spices.

Pickled beets are definitely an acquired taste! However, those individuals who appreciate such delicacies cannot get enough of Stripling's Pickled Beets and have been known to eat them straight from the jar. Or, when choosing to be more civilized, they might place them on a bed of lettuce and add some chopped onion on top.
