Seafood lovers usually reach for the tartar sauce when indulging in the day’s catch. Now, they’ll be reaching for Stripling’s Vidalia Onion Creamy Tartar Sauce because of the stand-out ingredients of sweet relish as well as fresh sweet Vidalia onions. Although it’s great for any seafood specialty, we like it served in Sautéed Scallops. (see recipe below)

Sautéed Scallops

  • 2 pints fresh Gulf scallops
  • 1/2 stick of butter
  • 1/2 c. of white wine
  • 1 tsp. lemon zest
  • 2 cloves garlic
  • 1 (12 oz.) bottle Stripling's Vidalia Onion Creamy Tartar Sauce*

Directions:

Melt butter in skillet. Add in white wine, lemon zest, and garlic and cook on medium heat. Turn heat to high and sauté scallops at least 5 minutes or until done. Have Stripling's Vidalia Onion Creamy Tartar Sauce close by for dipping or even as a dressing over scallops and a bed of pasta. *1(12 ounce) bottle of Stripling's Vidalia Onion Creamy Tartar Sauce will meet the recipe requirement and leave a nice amount remaining for other uses!
