Yes, we've been told that the title for this signature Stripling's dressing sounds a bit cliché – as if someone on the Tourism Board were quizzing you about what main food crops Georgia has been known for all these years. But if you are already a follower of our Georgia Peach Dressing, then the pecan flavor and crunch will be an added dimension of delight. In the recipe suggestion (below), we gave a heated twist to that usually cold dish, chicken salad. Georgia Peach Pecan Dressing drizzled atop makes it dazzle even more.
Hot Chicken Salad
- 1 (10 1/2 oz.) can of cream of chicken soup
- 3/4 c. mayonnaise
- 2 Tbsp. fresh lemon juice
- zest of 1/2 lemon
- 1/2 tsp. black pepper
- 2 1/4 c. cooked chicken, diced
- 3/4 c. diced celery
- 1 (8 oz.) can water chestnuts, drained and sliced
- 1/2 c. artichoke hearts, drained and sliced
- 2 c. Ritz crackers, crushed
- 1/2 c. slivered almonds, toasted
- 1 (12 oz.) bottle Stripling's Georgia Peach Pecan Dressing*
Directions:
Preheat oven to 425 degrees. (Toast almonds while oven is preheating.) Add first 9 ingredients together and pour into oven-ready casserole dish. Sprinkle Ritz crackers and almonds across the top. Bake for at least 30 minutes or until edges begin to brown. Allow to cool slightly before serving. Pour a dollop of Stripling's Georgia Peach Pecan Dressing on each portion. *1 (12 ounce) bottle of Stripling's Georgia Peach Pecan Dressing will meet the recipe requirement and leave a nice amount remaining for other uses!
